Mr. Mayer has extensive experience in civil litigation, primarily in the areas of personal injury, general liability, professional malpractice, product liability, premises liability, coverage disputes, employment law and appeals. He has an active trial practice in both state and federal courts. Mr. Mayer has successfully litigated jury and court cases as well as binding arbitrations and mediations, and he has also argued cases before the Connecticut Court of Appeals and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. He has lectured at seminars on various aspects of civil litigation, including discovery techniques, trial strategy and ethics.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Mayer was a partner in a civil litigation firm and, for approximately two years, he worked as a consultant for a major commercial insurer and was responsible for its complex, high-exposure operations and premises exposures throughout much of the country.
